Vernie Reed

This knife arrived from the shop of Vernie Reed. It's a completely new design, named the "Bat Wing" and this configuration will be the only knife made this way. It will be truely "one of a kind". It is a majestic 10in masterpiece, and includes a handful of features. Some of the less obivious are: sixteen 14ct solid gold, engraved inserts in the spacer bar, four solid 14ct gold handmade screws with 2mm diamond inserts, a 14ct solid gold hand made thumb-bob with a 3mm diamond insert, and a 14ct solid gold hand-made bail.(try making one of these!) Other features include Devin Thomas damascus blade, Robert Eggerling mosaic damascus bolsters, and Bruce Shaw inlays on the bolsters and Bruces' engraving on the gold inserts. Vernie fluted the elephant ivory scales.
This knife is so well porportioned that it doesn't appear to be as large as it is.
The oal is 10in, the blade is 5.25 in to where it meets the back-spacer, closed it's 6.0in.
